What is low-light night vision?
Low-light night vision device refers to the use of faint moonlight, starlight, atmospheric glow, milky way light and other natural night light at night for lighting, with the help of a light enhancer to amplify the weak photons reflected back by the target and convert them into visible images. An instrument for night observation. An important part of the low-light night vision device is the optical image enhancer.
The low-light night vision device includes four main components: a strong light objective lens, an image enhancer, an eyepiece, and a power supply. From the optical principle, a low-light night vision device is a special telescope with an image enhancer.
Weak natural light radiates through the target surface and enters the night vision device. Under the action of the strong light objective lens, it focuses on the negative surface of the image enhancer (which coincides with the rear focal surface of the objective lens), stimulating optoelectronics; optoelectronics are accelerated, focused, and imaged under the action of the internal electro-optical system of the image enhancer. Bombard the screen of the image enhancer at an extremely high speed, and excite a sufficiently strong visible light, thereby turning a distant target illuminated only by weak natural light into a visible image suitable for human eye observation. After further enlargement of the eyepiece, more effective visual observation is achieved. The above process includes two conversions from optical image to electronic image to optical image.
