An infrared thermal imaging camera is a device that can detect the infrared radiation of a target and convert the physical temperature distribution image of the target into a video image through photoelectric conversion, electrical signal processing and other means. Infrared imaging involves many aspects in modern life and has a wide range of applications. According to the working principle, thermal imaging camera can be divided into two categories: Cooled thermal imaging camera and Uncooled thermal imaging camera.
First, let’s introduce cooled thermal imaging cameras. Cooled thermal imaging cameras are a high-end technology that utilizes a refrigeration system to reduce detector temperature to extremely low levels. This low-temperature environment significantly increases the sensor's sensitivity and resolution, allowing it to detect smaller differences in heat. Cooled thermal imaging cameras are suitable for applications requiring high accuracy, high resolution and long-range detection, such as military reconnaissance, security monitoring and fire rescue.
BRI-C640 Multifunctional Handheld Cooled Thermal Binoculars is a high-performance, multi-functional refrigeration infrared reconnaissance equipment, which integrates reconnaissance, ranging, positioning, orientation and other functions. BRI-C640 integrated a thermal imager, visible camera, a laser range, GPS, electronic compass. BRI-C640 comprises a thermal imager with 8x continuous optical zoom. BRI-C640 is also rugged and portable.
BRI-C640 can be used as general observation equipment, mainly used to observe the battlefield and find out enemy situation, terrain, observation target and shooting effect, etc.
Main Features:
1. Infrared imaging, visible light through fog/color imaging.
2. Eye-safe laser ranging.
3. GPS/Beidou positioning, electronic compass orientation, target positioning.
4. Binocular HD OLED display, eyepiece diopter adjustment, friendly human-machine interface.
5. Camera, video, playback and video output functions.
6. Function: Thermal image/ Infrared vision/ Visible vision/ Laser range/ GPS/ Electronic compass.
In contrast, uncooled thermal imaging cameras are a more common and affordable option. They do not require a refrigeration system to reduce the temperature of the detector, but instead utilize advanced heat-sensitive materials and electronics to achieve the functions of a thermal imaging camera. Although uncooled thermal imaging cameras have lower sensitivity and lower resolution than cooled thermal imaging cameras, they still reliably provide adequate performance in many applications. Uncooled thermal imaging cameras are suitable for many daily applications, such as building thermal detection, power inspection and fault diagnosis.
BRI-6100B is a handheld thermal binocular device that uses the latest low-power, compact, uncooled thermal imaging technology. BRI-6100B used a 640*512px uncooled microbolomer sensor with 100mm optics lens for middle or long distance application. BRI-6100B's unique power-saving design can extend battery runtime, fast startup, and strong autofocus capability. Unlike image-enhancing night vision devices that can only amplify existing light, thermal imagers can also penetrate smoke, fog, and dust. BRI-6100B adopts low power consumption design, built-in rechargeable battery, continuous working time of 6 hours. In addition, BRI-6100B uses a new patented technology with advanced fast startup performance and fast response capabilities, which will not interrupt image freezing due to correction operations.
Main Features:
1. Long detection range: Human: 3500 m; Vehicle: 6000 m
2. High resolution OLED display.
3. Real-time display and high thermal sensitivity.
4. Low power consumption and long battery life.
5. Ability to penetrate smoke, fog, and dust.
In addition to price and performance, ease of use is also an important difference between cooled and uncooled thermal imaging cameras. Due to the absence of a refrigeration system, uncooled thermal imaging cameras are lighter and easier to carry, making them suitable for outdoor and mobile environments. On the other hand, cooled thermal imaging cameras are usually more bulky and require more energy and maintenance work.
In general, cooled thermal imaging cameras and uncooled thermal imaging cameras each have their own advantages and are suitable for different application scenarios. If you require high accuracy, high resolution and the ability to detect over long distances, a cooled thermal imaging camera is an ideal choice. And if you are more concerned about cost and portability, uncooled thermal imaging cameras can meet your needs.
No matter which technology you choose, thermal imaging cameras are powerful tools that have proven their worth in many areas. Whether it is to protect people's safety or improve work efficiency, thermal imaging cameras have brought huge changes to our lives and work. Whether they are cooled thermal imaging cameras or uncooled thermal imaging cameras, they are the product of technological advancement and bring more possibilities to our future.
