Brilliance is a leading manufacturer and developer of precision night vision optics and thermal imaging devices.  The total area is about 8,900square meters,As a professional and trustworthy manufacturer, our advanced equipment, professional research& D team and have professional after-sales service to provide you with the best solutions for Gen2+/Gen3 night vision Devices and thermal imaging Devices.

Today I will introduce to you the important parameters of one of our best-selling products, the PVS 7 night vision binocular, so that you can better understand this product.

1.Image Intensifier Tube Gen2+/Gen3

We provide Gen2+/Gen3 image intensifier tube. The main difference between them is the type of cathode surface of the image intensifier tube. The generation 2+ generally use a multi-alkali photocathode, the third generation uses a GaAs photocathode. The two cathode surfaces have different photo sensitivity, and the third generation has better photo sensitivity.

2.White phosphorus tubes and green phosphorus tubes are available

There are two different phosphorus tubes to choose from, green and white (white phosphorus tubes are actually bluish). It should be noted that white phosphorus tubes make it easier to distinguish the shape of items and are less prone to visual fatigue. After the green phosphorus tube is removed, the human eye can adapt to a darker environment faster.

3.Resolution

Resolution refers to the ability of a measurement or display system to resolve details. Refers to the "sharpness" of the image. The higher the resolution, the better the image quality and the more details it can show.

4.SNR

Used to compare the intensity of the desired signal to the intensity of background noise. The higher the signal-to-noise ratio, the stronger the night vision device's ability to resist external interference, the smaller the noise and distortion of the image, and the clearer the image.

5.FOM

You can multiply the value of SNR and the value of resolution to get the FOM. The larger the value, the clearer the image. Currently, the FOM Of PVS7 ranges from 1400-2000.

6.FOV

The FOV is the angle formed by the two edges of the maximum range through which the object image of the measured target can pass through the lens. The size of the FOV determines the field of view of the night vision binocular. The larger the FOV, the wider the field of view. The FOV of this product is 42°±3°.

7.Auto-gating

Automatic gating controls the amount of incident light to ensure normal use of the image tube in different environments.

8.Automatic Gain Control

Automatic gain adjustment is also automatic brightness adjustment, and is related to automatic gate control. Automatic gate control controls the amount of incident light to ensure that the image tube can be used normally in different environments, while automatic gain allows the image tube to sense the amount of incident light. , and thereby automatically adjust the brightness of the image.

9.IP Level

This product is IP65/IP67 (optional). I means dust-proof level, dust-proof level 6 means completely preventing dust from entering, P means waterproof level, waterproof level 5 means that low-pressure spraying from any angle has no effect, and waterproof level 6 can withstand water immersion in a short time (15cm- 1m, within half an hour).

That’s it for today’s introduction. If you are interested, please contact sales to discuss. At the same time, we also sincerely welcome you to visit our factory!
