Today we are going to introduce you main features of one of our best selling product: PNV-9 Pilot Night Vision Binoculars
1. Special C Film
The most obvious difference between pilot-specific aviation night vision goggles is that the objective lens is coated with a special C film for aviation equipment, so that pilots can clearly see targets outside the aircraft during night flight operations (or other periods of reduced visibility) and can clearly see data on a brighter instrument panel without having to repeatedly put on and take off the device,which gives pilots quick and consistent access to sharp visual perception and better image acuity, which is critical to pilot mission success.
2. Gen2+/Gen3
The main difference between the 2nd generation night vision goggles and the 3rd generation night vision goggles is the type of cathode side of the image intensifier tube. Usually the cathode surface of the 2nd generation night is S25, and the cathode surface of the 3rd generation is (GaAs) gallium arsenide. The two cathode surfaces have different photosensitive abilities, and the 3rd generation night vision device is better. 3.White Phosphor And Green Phosphor Are Available For PNV-9
The advantage of white one is that it is easier to distinguish the shape of items and less likely to cause visual fatigue compare to the green one. The advantage of green is that it makes you adapt to the dark environment more quickly after taking it off. You can choose whichever you like according to your preference.
4. FOM Value
This value represents overall performance of night vision devices. You can multiply the value of SNR and the value of resolution to get the FOM. The higher the value, the clearer the image. The FOM value of PNV-9 ranges from 1400-2050. you can choose what’s best for you.
5. Autogating
PNV-9 has autogating(FOM1600), which means that the device will automatically adjust the voltage according to the brightness of the environment to improve the effect of the image you see, and when the environment is too bright, the device will automatically adjust as well, to make sure that the intensifier tube will not overload and be broken. If the device is with autogating, then it comes with automatic gain control, which means it can automatically increase or decrease the brightness of the image under high-light or low-light conditions to obtain the best image contrast.
6. Rugged Construction
It has a rugged construction to withstand harsh environments and is designed to meet the stringent requirements of aviation night observations. It has good waterproof performance. We would go through rigorous multiple rounds of testing before shipping out of the factory to ensure what you receive is in its best condition.
7. Other Features
It can be mounted on helmets or soft helmet for hands-free operation. Lightweight ergonomic design reduces head-borne weight and decreases neck strain. PNV-9 can be run with Lithium battery(AA battery).
