As we all known, SNR, FOM and Resolution are three quite important parameters we should pay attention to when we want to select a high-performance night vision binoculars. So what do these three parameters represent? what's the relationship among SNR, FOM and Resolution? Let me give you guys a detailed introduction.
- Resolution
Resolution refers to the ability of a measurement or display system to resolve details. Refers to the "sharpness" of the image. The higher the resolution, the better the image quality and the more details it can show. Two different resolution you can choose for PVS7 night vision goggles, 48-58lp/mm or 57- 64lp/mm which both can offer a clear imaging effetcs.
- SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio)
- FOM
Figure of Merit is a comprehensive evaluation metric that usually integrates multiple parameters and factors. Its definition and calculation methods can vary across different applications and industries. FOM is used to compare and assess the performance advantages of different systems or devices, aiding decision-makers in making informed choices. The larger the value, the clearer the image. Currently, the FOM of PVS7 night vision goggles ranges from 1400 to 2000.
